3.15 System

The System option allows CARS system operations to be performed. When this option is selected, the

system options window appears as shown.

3.16 Select Printer Type

The select printer option allows the printer type to be selected. After choosing this option, the

program displays a list of compatible printers:

Select a printer with the scroll bar and press <ENTER>. The program is now configured to print with

that printer.

3.17 Initialize Points

The initialize points option is used at the beginning of the season to clear out everyone’s points from

last season. To perform this procedure, move the scroll bar to “Initialize Points” and press

<ENTER>. The system will present a warning message before initializing the points. If previously, a

driver was removed from the point program by setting the track points to -1, the value will remain -1.

3.18 Automatic Entry

The automatic entry option can be set to yes or no. If it is set to yes, vehicles do not need to be added

to the event using the “Entry” option. The vehicles will be added automatically when they race. If it is

set to no, vehicles will not be entered automatically.

This option was developed for tracks that only want cars that have been entered into the event to race,

thus prohibiting vehicles from trying to “slip” into the event without entering. If automatic entry is set

to no and the vehicle races, the data for the vehicle will have to be entered by hand into CARS from

the timer log printout.
